Alchemy Pay invests in LaPay, a UK fintech company with an API license

Alchemy Pay, a leading global provider of Web3 payment solutions, has announced an investment in LaPay UK Ltd, a UK-based fintech company focused on facilitating international business growth for businesses.

It is worth noting that LaPay holds the UK Authorized Payment Institution (API) license number 914920 and is regulated by the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). This strategic investment marks the latest milestone for Alchemy Pay, in line with its aspirations to obtain more than 20 licenses worldwide in key regions such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia and South Korea.

Gibbs Lvy, Co-founder of Alchemy Pay, reflected on the significance of the investment, saying: “LaPay is an FCA-regulated fintech company and this investment marks an important milestone in our global payments licensing strategy. Our goal is to provide users with a comprehensive Web3 payment service, including local fiat currency transfers and foreign exchange in the future. Previously, we operated as a compliant Web3 payment solution provider globally, but now our investment in LaPay expands our presence and brings new opportunities to the UK and global markets.”

He emphasized, "Innovative fintech companies like LaPay are reshaping the dynamics between traditional banking, finance, payments, and Web3. At present, established financial giants such as PayPal, Visa, and Revolut have also been involved in Web3 fintech, marking that the global financial payment landscape has entered an era of change, with payments, wallets, custody services, stablecoins, etc. gradually integrating into traditional banking, finance, and payment infrastructure."

Alchemy Pay has gradually built a comprehensive Web3 payment ecosystem by deeply integrating authorized resources and global compliance qualifications, expanding alternative payment methods (APM) globally to enhance service capabilities, and launching diversified payment products to meet various scenarios. Alchemy Pay has currently obtained 4 regulatory licenses across 6 continents. By 2024, Alchemy Pay aims to apply for and obtain more than 20 licenses to consolidate its extensive global influence.
