PANews reported on December 12 that according to Cointelegraph, the Bahrain-based cryptocurrency exchange CoinMENA announced that its Dubai subsidiary CoinMENA FZE has been granted a virtual asset service provider (VASP) license by the Dubai Virtual Asset Regulatory Authority (VARA) to operate and provide services in the emirate.

The license also allows CoinMENA to offer retail and institutional clients in the United Arab Emirates the ability to deposit and withdraw in UAE dirhams, allowing for faster transactions without foreign exchange considerations. The platform received a provisional license from the Dubai regulator a year ago.
