The application of Hong Kong Cryptocurrency Exchange HKVAEX for a Hong Kong virtual asset trading platform was withdrawn yesterday

According to Aiying, the Hong Kong crypto exchange HKVAEX was removed from the list of applicants for Hong Kong virtual asset trading platforms on March 3. The date of its application for a license was January 28, 2024. The reason for the removal was "withdrawn". So far, applicants whose applications for Hong Kong virtual asset trading platforms have been withdrawn include Ammber (AMMBR (HK) LIMITED) and BitHarbour (BitHarbour (Hong Kong) Limited), and the applicant whose application was returned is Meex (Meex Digital Securities Limited).

 

Information disclosed by the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission shows that the license applications have been returned, rejected or withdrawn for reasons including but not limited to the following: the license application was returned by the Securities and Futures Commission due to incompleteness and/or important issues that have not been resolved; the license application was rejected or withdrawn.
